NIA Receives Grant from Investors Foundation to Hold More Free Community Events
NIA Community Services Network recently received a $45,000 grant from Investors Foundation at the NIA central office in Dyker Heights. This generous grant will help further NIA’s mission to strengthen and empower children, families, and communities by providing New York City neighborhoods with a strong sense of community and fun experiences that are accessible to all.
“NIA is honored to be the recipient of this grant from Investors Bank. This funding will support and enrich numerous community events and festivals each year. These events benefit thousands of families and community members and we are proud to have the support of Investors Bank in bringing these wonderful celebrations to the communities we serve,” says CEO Mary Anne Cino of NIA.
In just the past year, NIA has held many free community events, including the NIA Dance Festival, Summer Concerts in the Park, Senior Proms, Senior Picnics, 9/11 Vigil, Halloween Spooktacular, Owl’s Head Halloween Festival, and Christmas Tree Lightings. NIA looks forward to enriching these events and adding even more to better serve NYC communities.
