A property tax break for seniors 65 and older who own a one, two, or three-family home, condominium, or co-op. Eligibility is determined by your total annual income.

The program is for senior tenants who qualify to have their rent frozen at their current level. If you are 62 years or older, live in a rent-regulated apartment, have a lease in your name, and pay one-third of your monthly income on rent, you may be eligible to participate.

NIA provides preliminary assistance for low to moderate-income individuals and families in need of housing. Applications will be in force for two years from the date of submission.
NIA does not work with NYCHA to secure an apartment for applicants. NYCHA is under the State of Public Housing.

NIA helps address your quality of life concerns, offers referral assistance and connects you with the proper resources.

Clients with CityFHEPS cases can now get assistance completing their annual renewal and uploading the required documents. Renewal applicants are welcome.

Eligible Families and Individuals can be enrolled through NYS Health Insurance. NIA can help with Medicaid, Essential Plan, Child Health Plus, and Qualified Health Plans.

MSP is a program run by Medicaid that can help pay for Medicare Part B Premiums. Eligible recipients must be on Medicare at the time of filing and fall under the financial criteria.
MSP IS NOT Health Insurance.
