NIA’s 2nd annual Read Out Loud Campaign will raise funds to strengthen our after-school literacy programs in over 45 New York City public schools and will impact over 6,000 students! From February 1st, World Read Aloud Day, to March 2nd, Read Across America Day, our students will take part in book giveaways and a series of FREE in-person and virtual visits from authors, illustrators, and special guests.

We focus on closing the learning gap for struggling readers through after-school programming that inspires a love of reading while building vocabulary, literacy, and social-emotional skills. Throughout this campaign, we will host a series of virtual and in-person author visits and book giveaways for our students - all designed to inspire joy and spark excitement around reading.
